1.9 TDI oil temperature

I brought my car for its yearly inspection today, I noticed the oil temperature was 143 degree Celsius. Does this seem on the high side? I travelled about 15 minutes through the city from cold to get there.

Is it very high? What could be the cause ?

Check your coolant maybe? Could be a number of things.

Best not to drive it at that temp but sounds like your already well aware.

oil or coolant temp? If it was oil i woud susect a faulty sensor first.

I have this on my Audi A4 aswell but I get coolant and oil temperature when I press the check button the dash, any ideas guys thanks.

I would assume both sensors faulty, common problem.
