12v socket is always on

Hello everyone,

can someone help me how can i make my 12v socket turn on just when the ignition is on because currently it stays on constantly.

Are you sure it's on constantly and not until the car goes to sleep (couple minutes) - when the dash turns off?

My B6 is always on.
The op will need to rewire the positive lead of the lighter socket to another circuit (one which comes on with the ignition) on the fuse panel.
