If anyone has upgraded to these with 225/35/19 tyres did you notice a difference in the cars performance due to slightly increased rolling radius? Also what ET is recommended for 19"? What is the ET of the standard 18" wheels?

If i'm not wrong i and i think i'm not the standard ETs for an A3 are:
- 17" 45
- 18" 40
- 19 35

ET's are the offset I think you are talking sidewall measurments there influx, the ET's do not vary with wheel diameter:happy:

So does anyone know the J and offset of the standard wheels?

Justcharlie what is the offset and J of those MTM's and do you have a picture of how they sit in the arches?

I would love to change to 19's as they do look so much better but with the odd track outing not really recommended from both a cost and handling POV.

I'd go for some tried and tested BBS CH in graphite or some RS6 reps.

Std rims are 7.5 wide and ET56 If I remember correctly, the MTM's are 19" 8.5inch wide ET50, at work at the minute so no pics but they fill the arches spot-on

Here's my car on 19" Audi BBS Split rims. 19" X 9J ET41 rear and ET42 front, both wearing 215/35/19 P Zero Neros:

thats my old one on 9x19 ET41 bentley wheels but stretched 215/35s they never rubbed and to be honest any change in performance was so little i never noticed ET 50 seems to be the best ET and 8.5J

Those MTMs fit really well but using an on line calculator comparing the original ET and J would mean the MTMs stick out 19mm more than standard and I cant see that.

Presumably the OE ET and J will be stamped onto the Audi S3 wheels?

just been and checked in the garage for you and the std alloys are deffo 7.5Jx18 ET56, the MTM's are 8.5Jx19 ET50. Yes it would seem they would18/19mm further out which does seem alot doesn't it, but they fit spot on:cool:
