I can't see why it wouldn't, the only issue I know of is the S3 engine runs a lower compression ratio (happy to be corrected) I'm not sure if this would create any problems..

Thanks for the reply.from what iv read the dtm also has a lower compression ratio but they have different engine codes.also I think the inlet cam is meant to be slightly bigger

Apparently they also have forged pistons, but the rods aren't as strong as the S3.

From what I found out the other day, the engine internals are exactly the same as a golf gti, so no forged pistons. Someone checked on ETKA and the part number is the same. So nothing like the S3 performance wise (pistons and rods)

Why are you using the s3 head on the dtm bottom end?

I have a head from a BUL that I've just a stripped if it's any use to you? Or it mite be a BYD which is the same never the less
