Hi guys,
Got a 2006 Audi A6 with the BRE engine on 160k miles. I think there is excessive breathing out of the oil filler cap and there is a pool of oil that congregates around the cap when driven for a while. (Cleaned it all up and drove to test it wasn't from filling up)
I was thinking it must be the breather but the pipe is clear, the obvious next step is to look at the state of the actual pressure valve in the valve cover. Do you think I will get away with taking it all off cleaning it up and putting back on? Or will it almost certainly leak once back together. Any experience on this will be will be greatly appreciated. Thank you
