Thanks pie-eyedpiper & gazwould, I have also seen on other sites & forums that the drive key in some earlier versions was hollow & then got change to solid. There has also been people that found the oil pickup was partially blocked restricting oil flow. Guess I won’t find out until sump is removed. Thanks again

I don't think your 2012 will have a 77mm hollow drive key , after all it all started with a 2004 B7 !

Today red oil pressure light came up.

NON RUNNER SPARES OR REPAIR. Audi 2.0 PETROL tsfi - turbo one. Engine did turn over —- not seized up ! Oil pump chain has broken destroying drive cog and oil pump cog also, not sure whether oil pump is ok and engine only did 20 yards before stopping!
