2.5 v6 TDI thermostat location

Can Some 1 please tell me where the thermostat is on my 2001 Audi A4 2.5 TDI as I think it's stuck open.

The engine takes ages to get warm and drops of the 90 when moving slowly or when using the hot air blower in the car.

Do i have to remove the front of the car to get at the thermostat ?

its not good news, front off, cam belt off its on the top front left side of the left engine, if your gonna take that lot off then get some new belts and a new water pump,

have you changed the water temp sensor yet ?
