2.5tdi avant in tank fuel pump equivalent part number....if there is one!!

hi all.
looking for some help locating an equivalent part number. I have a '99 B5 2.5tdi avant with a dead in tank fuel pump. Theres quite a few about on ebay but none with the part number '8D0 201 319B'
Is there a similiar part i could use or adapt?

That part number isnt listed as a pump.

Looks like its the cap that the fuel pipes attach to. The diagram also doesnt show any in tank pump attached to that part, looks like a swirl pot and nothing else.

AFAIK these engines dont have electric lift pumps, the IP on the engine does the sucking.

Most likely your injector pump is dead, the in tank pump is only there to keep the baffle full of fuel so the Vp44 pump does not cavitate.

managed to find one. thanks for the help. had the injector pump recon'd in april. it is a swirl pot, theres a live feed to the tank but no motor 'swirling'. managed to locate a complete swirl and sender for £29.....just hope it works!! lol
