Hi guys iv owned my 98 2.8 v6 quattro for 3 years now, never missed a beat, recently been serviced about 4 months ago apart from plugs as i replaced them when i first got the car and all good!

Coming home from work tuesday and she started misfiring mainly higher in the revs, drove home sat outside and was running really rough so i though oh must be plugs, brought some genuine audi plugs and pukka no more misfire on tickover, took car for spin and it all came back!

Has anybody experienced the same as this?

If so please help me want my baby running good again!

Can anyone help or advise?????

Please!!!!

see if you can get it plugged into vagcom and get any faults up, if it only doing it when hot etc could be coil packs?

i plugged it into a snap on scanner and no fault codes present!

my moneys on a dodgy injecter.
go round pulling the plugs off to the coils one at a time, to find out which cylinder it is.
then unbolt the fuel rail and swap the suspect injector to a different cylinder thats ok. start it back up and do the unplugging coils thing again..... has your misfiring cylinder moved with the injector to the cylinder that was previously ok? or stayed where it was?
