I am really new here to this forum and I would like to know if these rims fit to the A6 C6 (2004).
Centering wheel bore is 66.6 as this would not be an issue with a simple fix of a hub ring.
So far they are 20" rims with a width of 9.5J and an offset of ET36.
The tires are currently with a Continental 235/35.

Question 1: Should the tires of 235/35 be better replaced with 255/30? Any suggestions?
Question 2: Will these tires/rims rub or hit anything to the A6 C6? like the struts fenders etc (The car has OEM suspensions).
Question 3: What offset would be the best for the A6 C6?

Thanks in advance for the help and guidance.

I just found out that these are RS6 rims.
I know that it will fit on the A6 C6 models.
Just the oem tire won’t work on the C6 model.
Which following tire selection 245/30, 245/35, 255/30, 255/35 would be best? Any suggestions?

Will these tires/rims rub or hit anything to the A6 C6? like the struts fenders etc with the offset being ET36? Will it stick out that much?

Hello, I can nicely advise you as I have some experience with similar 20" wheels on my A6.
I had 9" ET 37, initially running 255/35/20 tires. On standard suspension, it was kind of OK, front rubbed only in sharp turn under bigger load on that corner, rears were rubbing on bumps with few people in the car (OK on empty car). It was usable, but not OK. After I lowered the car (-30mm), it was undriveable. Fronts were rubbing (against fender) in every turn, rears (against inliner) very often as well. I tested 245/35/20 tires and it was a bit better, but still not for daily usage. 245/30/20 may be OK, but not sure and imho it will be very uncomfortable.
I replaced the wheels for 8.5" ET 45 and with the original 255/35/20 tires it was still pretty bad, especially in front. Every slightly sharper turn I got a big rubbing. Finally 255/30 on these 8.5" ET45 wheels is just fine, without any rubbing in front nor back.
Before replacing the 9" ET 37 wheels for the new ones, I quickly tested (just on one front corner) the 255/30/20 tire and it was again a bit better, but still rubbed against the fender under sharp turn.

I have just put the same wheels on my avant. Exactly same setup, mine is lowered a bit, not sure how much as it was done before i bought it. I opted for 235's as i didn't want any rubbing. So far so good, not had loads of weight in but had the old alloys & tyres in the back on the way home & they didn't rub at all. Full lock is fine.

Hi there, I have the same wheels but the Q5 variants... 8.5 x 20 ET33. I'm wanting some advice on a tyre that will fit without rubbing when lowered. What spec are your segments?

Mine are A8's think they're 9.5 x 20 et33 235/35 20's. I think they're 9.5 or maybe 9. Fitting some coilers next week so i'll get back to you once I've had them off again.

I'm in the process of fitting the same and still doing some research, do you have any pictures to share?

So far i've been recomendeded 245/35/20 on 8.5J 20" ET33 wheels
