Hi Chaps

Looking at the above as I've always liked the A8. The car has done 114k miles but has FSH (6 stamps so longlife). Anything I should look for?

Thanks

Mark.

3.0TDI has timing belt so I would check if or when it has been done as I imagine it could be expensive job.

other than that make sure all electric are fine. When I bought mine after 50 miles I've got tire pressure system warning. When I checked at home I found out there were no sensors in any wheel! I've got the car sent back to a dealer (250 miles away!) to get them installed. Almost a £1,000 job but they paid for it....

No, The 3.0TDI does not have a timing belt, it has timing chains.
Early chains ~2004 had a problem and would rattle on cold starts, but production was revised with a better design in 2005 so they should be fine.
By 2008 almost every niggle was ironed out.
Check DPF with VCDS if possible. Inside of tailpipes should be clean, if not suspect DPF was removed.
Check all electrics, switches and MMI buttons (they are vulnerable to beverage ingress)..
Check air suspension goes up and down as expected when chnging setting in mmi.
