Hi.
I currently own an A3 and am shortly looking to buy a 3.0 TDI A4 approx 2009 or 2010 model.
I'm after one with the sat nav system built in.
Does this system have SD card slots so I can play my MP3s such as the A3 RNSE?
I've looked on some photos but can't see the slots.

Thanks
Chris

An A4 fitted with RNS-E will have SD card slots. They are concealed behind the screen, which drops down when you press a button on the head unit fascia. It will take SD cards (the manual says max 2gb but you might find it will accept 4gb) but not SDHC cards.

Apologies i've put this in the wrong section - should be in the B8 forum.
The sat nav I was meaning was the screen at the top of the dash and controls near the gear shift.

In which case, you'd better ignore everything I said. :lmfao:

Depends on the system fitted, any pics of the actual dash?

Something similar to this

2G won't, 3G will.

If thats the pic of the car then it looks like 2G so it won't have them fitted.

That's not the actual car I'm after, just would like to know for when I find one.

How can I tell the difference between 2G and 3G by looking at the dash?

2G has the Cd changer on the dash as per that pic, 3G cars will have a drive there called 'Audi Multimedia'.

If no MMI is fitted you'll have no entertainment controls around the gearstick and you'll either have Chorus/Concert/Symphony on the dash.
