Hi, I have an 2009 S-line. I reversed into a pillar in a car park , that has dented/cracked open my rear bumper a bit (as it hit next to the impact bar ) and cracked one of my lights.

I've been around a few garages with 2 quoting me £200 and another saying to get a new bumper as it will just crack again if it even lightly bumps anything. So I'm thinking of looking at my options.

I have wanted parking sensors so I could get a bumper with them included or get them put on my repaired bumper. How much are parking sensors?

I was also considering getting an s3 bumper but was wondering if my car might look weird? Would I need to get additional S3 parts for my car to look alright (will I need side skirts etc? or nothing else) I find it hard to find pictures comparing the 2009 S-line and S3 which is surprising or maybe I'm searching wrong.... or thinking of options what about RS3??

If any body has any part numbers for the s-line or s3 rear bumpers could you let me know them.

if your looking for part numbers best to give your nearest Audi shop a call and get them to put you through to parts department given them your reg and they should be able to give you the number plus a price for a new bumper to fit ur car

Cheers, looking at the picture do you think it's worth getting it repaired or is it best to get a new bumper?

i would firstly go to a good body ahop and see what they can do with it if they cant do much look for a replacement plenty off breakers down your way i guess , ebay or even the scrappies hope that helps a bit

Got rear parking sensors fitted by Professional Retrofits in Nuneaton. Looks OEM he does a very good job.

might be worth pricing up new 1 first then compare what price he would take too fix if he can and if not get new one sprayed and put on car .

No I haven't sorted it yet. Audi want £325 for a new rear bumper (I didn't think to ask, but that's probably unpainted?) . They wouldn't give out the part number though. There don't seem to be many about in decent condition on ebay etc.

.pop me a PM

I went to another three body shops today, 1 said he could repair for £220 but he's booked up for the next couple of weeks, another said it wouldn't be worth it, I mentioned the other place said they could do it for £220, he said his labor was £50 per hour. Third place I went to said the repair can be done but with no guarantees and that it could crack with light touch/impact.

Try a heat gun on it, usually the dent will pop out. Worth a try and you won't make it worse.

It's got a split in it, so if the heat gun did work I don't think I would be able to get rid of the split.

I just wanted to check my understanding. Is it correct that I could get any 2009-2012 three door rear bumper and not just the part number associated with my car. e.g. I could get an Sport, standard or s-line bumper. I have an s-line but if I get another 3 door model in the same age range, then I could just change the bottom part? e.g. if getting a sport bumper change the diffuser (or valance, not sure what it's called) at the bottom. I've specially been looking for a rear bumper with the part number for my car and I ain't come across many and stopped looking for a while.

As it is split you’ll need a new or or a bumper specialist to repair the existing one. They can be stitched so it won’t crack easily.
Cheapest option - I would just buy an used Sline bumper and fit it myself then have it painted by local car paint guy.
