2009 S3 8P oil temp sensor location.

Can anyone point me to this? I would’ve thought it’d be on the block but I’m struggling to find it (on the internet as I’m not with my car).

I’m sure it’s on the left side of the engine (when looking at it) between the engine mount and the alternator pulley. I’ll see if I can get a pic.

Sorry @J0N - I have no idea where the sensor is - I though it was on the lower left. I'm wondering if it's part of the level sensor? If you find out then let us know.

It’s looking like it’s exactly that mate, and it seems that the wrong reading doesn’t affect anything in terms of engine management so I reckon it can stay put until oil change time?
