Hi,

I seem to have one part of the led tail lights not working on my 2009 A3 Sportback facelift.

I have looked around but haven't been able to find a proper answer. Any suggestions of why this is? Will I need to replace the whole light cluster?

Many thanks

Had a check of my 2009 FL model and mines not LED - if the top part isn't illuminating it has likely snapped internally likely due to a boot slam. The bulb illuminates from the corner up and across at least on mine. Hope that helps.

Thanks for your reply. It seems that is most likely what's happened. Appears I'll have to replace the unit. At least it doesn't throw an error on the dash display.

Hi did you find the cause ? Mine is doing exactly the same even the same light and side . Please if you pick this up let me know

Acutely my whole light doesn't work not just the top

Hi, nope never figured out how to fix it. I did end up trying a different light cluster that was taken off another A3 that I had lying around and that worked fine. So you'll probably need to replace the whole light cluster unfortunately

Replaced it with a new one still doesn't work.
Bangs head on wall

I've got it back today they said they don't want to do any work on it.
Waste of time that was

I'll check my thread thanks
