I’ve got the new shape Q5 petrol TFSI 252ps on a 17 plate. Is there anything you specifically want to know?

Hi.. thanks for your reply. Nothing specific about the vehicle, just that i have paid the deposit to teh dealer but they haven't ordered the car yet as Audi have not released the pricing for the petrol version. Just wanted to know if anyone else have ordered one, so i can follow up with my dealer.
Nice, what spec did you order? I have 18 plate TFSI. Are you hoping for March Delivery?
Hi, i have ordered the 2019 Q5 S-Line Petrol , Mythos black with Comfort & Sound pack & the Tech Pack with LED interior lighting. Looking for an April delivery.. havent got the week yet..
I guess the 2019 models will have the prefix 45 for the 2Ltr petrol cars..

Nice mate, same colour as mine. Led lighting telly nice (and cheap unlike other options!) Tech and comfort and sound good to go for, wish I had gone tech with mine and pano roof...next time
Yes, 2019 will have the 45 prefix, if it was me I would ask for model deletion

Sold my S3 recently too so I am car-less
Big spec, air suspension etc. Gone for luxury to compensate for the missing performance vs S3.
Also selected model and technology delete option (as per above comment).

Wow, a long wait, but pretty sure you should see movement soon, as others are in the WLTP thread. Spec sounds immense
Have been considering switching to the Vorsprung edition but it’s madness, there are some options I really don’t want to pay for, so yes big spec but still saving a few thousand vs the Vorsprung

Yes, the WLTP confusion.. wasn't able to order a new one in June and the dealer tried to sell me Ex demo with a 18 plate. I guess Audi is now taking orders for a New Q5 from a couple of weeks.I ordered a petrol s-line in June, still no order number from Audi due to wltp debacle. Hoping we’ll see some movement soon!

Thanks. I just had a quick word with my dealer and he suggested that you may have ordered the 2018 car which is now switched to the 19 year model. Anyways i just hope they move quick with the orders.
I am glad they have the enabled the petrol model to be ordered. There is a big gap in the Q5 line up at the moment.
I have a Q5 sLine 40 ordered. It was produced just before Christmas (hopefully not after the Xmas party). Ibis white, Tech and Comfort and Sound packs, Storage pack, pano roof and spare wheel. I have asked for it to be available in March for the 19 plate. Didn't think to remove the model designation. Probably can get it done anyway.

I really don’t get the whole 40 / 45 thing.
Why complicate it? 2.0T is fine.
When they actually move to electric you can do it then.
Debadge would be a must and then order a subtle Quattro badge for the rear.

My understanding is that removal of badge and technology still leaves the Quattro badge bottom right of hatch anyway.

Ordered a new Q5 45 2.0 tfsi s line navarre blue 3 spoke multi function flat bottom extended led lighting package fine nappa leather split-folding rear seat plus “s” line upgrade suspension. Can’t wait but it’s not going to be here until round about 26th June 2019 coming out of our 2017 s3 black edition needs must as wife has had hip operation and struggling to get in&out of s3 so something a bit higher is required
Call that a wait? Pfft I ordered last June and it’s still not here!
Last 3 Audi’s I waited 3 months, then 4 months, now 9 months and counting. Argh.

I'm sorry but a 9 month wait for a run of the mill car like a Q5 (no disrespect intended - but its a volume model) is absolutely ridiculous. I'd have cancelled and gone elsewhere by now...
I went to try and test drive an A-class saloon, was told there was none in the UK and none expected until October in the very earliest. There is a delay on the new mk4 focus, they are holding them at the ports. Our 2018 fiesta was delays for over eight months because of a quality issue with the leather. It's not only Audi and the new WLTP tests are also affecting delivery times...
Believe me I have considered it
But despite being a volume car there’s nothing else in that segment that floats my boat. Has to be petrol, don’t want a S badge (or M BMW) due to thieving scum. Want air suspension etc, so not much else fitting the bill.

XC60 T5 Inscription Pro should tick the boxes? dont think there is a supply issue on those currently although XC40 has been delayed...
I have an SQ5 - I dont really worry about thieves as it doesnt look much different to an S line.... and its the discrete performance that attracts me....
Oh I know, son in law works for a major dealership specialising in Mercedes, BMW, Audi/VW, JLR, Lexus and Toyota - with a couple of Porsche dealerships.... and supply has been an issue....
But equally there are cars out there and to take 9 months and counting to supply a standard model is unacceptable. I ordered a brand new stock car that was just about the spec I wanted - the 2 week wait was long enough!
XC60 dash is beyond awful IMO, air ride is reviewed as below par compared to Q5’s.
And don’t kid yourself, scum wanting an S car know what they are looking at.
Not saying you should worry any more than you already do about your car, but being a victim of an attempt to have my own taken I just don’t want that temptation on my drive again.
All IMO, sincere best wishes to XC60 owners and SQ5 owners too, for the latter your car is definitely more fun than mine will be

Driving isn't much fun these days so you will rarely miss it, noise on start up is nice though... it's also well insured and I have GAP so if it gets nicked I getthejoy of picking a new one....
Touch screens don't really do it for me but the Volvo is a very good car, and apparently you get used to the dash... going to try a T8 for 24 hours and see in a few months. Don't believe all you hear about the air, a friend has one after a RRS and reckons the Volvo is better..
Hope your car arrives soon and you enjoy it, they are great and I love mine after 18 mths/ 18k miles. Normally by now I would be planning next one but so far no desire...although it's a weekend car as I use a Fiesta 1.0 for station run. Seriously thinking of trading that for an ST3 and getting an XK8 for weekend...
Any word on your q5 pauly69? Spoke to audi uk today ours was build week 13 started on 25th March said it should be here 8 weeks roughly
Went to status 60 last night so expecting a call this week
. Status 30 was 20/1, so will have taken about 70 days or so to arrive at dealers. I think 8 weeks is more typical so you might be luckier than I’ve been. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
