225 TT rattling noise

Firstly the fuel economy seems very poor plus I've got a strange rattling noise which appears to be coming from the turbo. The noise only happens when I depress the accelerator. I was thinking maybe the bearings are shot but surely the noise would be constant if this was the case.
Can anyone shed any light on this?.... thanks in advance.

could it be the vacume tubes ?? check if there is some vacume leak since the noise come only when the accelerator is depressed

Could be the quattro! Where abouts is the noise coming from on the car?

i think if it's the quattro system, i think it would have been a permanant noise not only when the accelerator is depressed..
but yeah, where is the sound coming from?
