I have a 35tfsi S Line which has the standard issues, electrical/electronic faults and warning lights, jerky engine etc. My dealership recently installed what they said Audi technical deemed to be a complete fix of all these issues. They installed the 90G5 update and I need to inform anyone that is having these issues - be warned when allowing their dealer to install this update.
Since the update not only did it not resolve one single issue it went in with it came out with many more. These are
Loss of sat nav
Loss of cruise control
Loss of Android Auto/any wired service
Loss of Drive Select
MMI worse than ever/sluggish
Bluetooth connection erratic
My dealership says they have also installed this update on some of their own A3's in their inventory to test if this is isolated to my car. However this update has caused the same faults on those too.
I asked if they could do a factory reset and roll back to the old software update but they said this is not possible. That means I'm now stuck with a worse car than the one I sent in and no real fix in sight.
You might want to ask your dealer what software update they are about to upload before authorising it.
