Hi, I just bought a randon A4 Cabriolet (with a gearbox issue) for £1K. Bargain in my mind. The fact is I've always wanted to own an Audi. Preferably an estate... but hey, I had a K to play with and this came up, so hey! I went for it. Afterall I'm 37. The midlife crisis has set in (according to friends) but I couldn't care less. My money, my life and my wants. I wanted an Audi.
Ok. So it has a few gremlins. The gearbox is dicky, from what I'm told. But I'm a mechanic so what could possibly go wrong?
The engine runs amazingly having been dead for 9 months. Gonna give it an overhaul, but when I see the gearbox selector linkage hanging out under the bodywork it screams help. So watch this space for the eventful proceedings.....
