A3 2.0 bhp cambelt change

I have an A3 June 2015 sline with 2.0 150 bhp engine.

can anyone tell me what kind of a cambelt it has and when it needs to be changed.

woukd an independent garage do the job as well as an Audi garage.

Depends what garage you take it too surely. There'll be bad independent garages and good ones.

This engine has a timing chain. Not belt!

If the sline is a 2.0 TDI then it will have a belt not a chain
I paid 375 from my mate in cardiff for the belt and pump - mine is a 2014 2.0 150bhp tdi sport
I think its only the TFSI that have chains.
