A3 2.0 bkn withs dsg gearbox replacement 2005

After numerous checks tests etc I have decided to fit a new or second hand engine.
1/ Is it a different engine that fits the Auto
2/Is there any specific engine ie year thats if possible bullet proof.
3/Up to what year can I fit
4/Or is it possible to fit 1.9 Tdi which I think is great
I hope I havent duplicated this thread I did a check but could not see anything similar.
I have had so many conflicting coments on the above subject I place a subject on this forum before great response hope you can do same again thanks again in anticipation

I'd get a late BKD with a hybrid turbo.

Erm, by the way, BKN is 3.0 TDI.

when you say late what year am i looking for and sorry new at this what is the difference about hybrid turbo.

The newer the engine, the better. Try finding one from a Skoda maybe because they used to manufacture them for a very long time. As for Audi, anything after 2006 should be okay but aim at 2008 if possible.

Regarding hybrid turbo, it's best to Google what it is, it basically removes the flaw of BKD engine.

Sorry ment to to ask is there any difference in the crankshaft with regards to manual gearbox and auto dsg is the crankshaft on gearbox end the same regards

Carnkshaft SHOULD be the same (not 100% sure though), but ECU definitely has different software.
