Hi all,

Had my 55 plate 2.0T quattro bluefinned back in September. Blew the original Diverter Valve almost straight away and had it replaced by the local VAG independent with latest non-rubber diaphram version.

In the last few weeks under full throttle, and usually in higher gears on the motorway I have a very brief "stutter" when I ask the car for full torque \ power.

I've had a look on various forums and seen a few similar posts - one for a 2.o TDi here http://www.audi-sport.net/vb/new-a3-s3-sportback-8p-chassis/75728-2-0tdi-stutter.html

It is pretty much only during 50-70 or 70-xx when it happens - no problems when starting up or idling (yet).

Whadyaereckon? Coil Packs- I'm thinking. MAF? Fuel Pump? Injectors? It is a bog standard Superchips Bluefin - with no other mods to the car at all....

Cheers

take the bluefin off and see if it does the same thing

i have a 55 plate 2.0TFSI and when i first got my bluefin (3yrs ago) i was getting a stuttering under full load, turned out that the map was too aggressive and the ECU was closing the throttle.

The usual ones are plugs and coilpacks.

Mine was hesitating and stuttering a bit a few months ago,and changing the plugs cured it.

Thanks guys. First thing to try is restoring the original map with the Bluefin and see what happens - then the plugs if that makes no difference. I haven't had them changed since I've owned the car (Mar 09), and I've done about 20k miles since owning the car - will have to check with Audi whether the previous owner has them changed as part of servicing - they may still be the originals.

def plugs then by the sounds
buy a decent set, oem wont be the best option with the map in place

After reverting back to the original map with Bluefin, there was a less pronounced stutter, but a stutter all the same. Then put the Superchips map back on and it really was more of a misfire than a stutter. Took it into the local VAG specialists (as my GF pointed out - that acronym could be pronounced and misinterpreted - she thought a VAG specialist was a gynecologist) , who diagnosed a misfire on cylinder 3. So I've changed all the coil packs ("They tend to go quickly after one has failed, sir" - probably ballacks) and all the sparks. On the brief drive home all seemed well, and the car felt much happier anyway.....so I think we have fix;-)

glad you have got it sorted fella get back to enjoying it now:thumbsup:

Can anyone recommend some good plugs and is K & N air filter worth it also - I've had a stage 2 Bluefin and got to say WOW! Don't want to start having problems now though.

stage 2 bluefin what mods do you have?????
the favorite induction kits are forge twintake,ITG and Evoms

He said filter... but yeah go for one of those intakes, or the Neuspeed like I have, there all very good. Forge Twintake is probably a bit overkill on a KO3 unless you were going to the tune the crap out of it. Get a TBE system or atleast big bore downpipe/ sports cat and then Bluefin stage 2 and you'll love it. K& N filter on its own won't really do much.

As for plus I've got some Denso IK24s ( Iridium ones), these are excellent and uprated cooler plugs are must in remapped car.
