A3 8V Will that tires+rims combo fit?

Hello!

Could You guys tell me if 18x8 ET 42 rims + 225/40/18 tires will fit into the A3 8V? I'm a little bit affraid that tire is gonna rub on something.

They will fit fine. They will butt out about 4mm more than the standard 8" wheels that normally have an ET46 offset, but there is more than enough in the arch to cover that without rubbing.

I run ET45 18x8 with 225 40 18 tyres.
ET42 will work no problem, certainly another 3mm in the arches ontop of my setup

I run this below and all perfect
I wanted to run 255 30 R19 fronts and 245 35 R19 maybe in future.
