A3 Gear surrounds removal

I’m trying to work out how to remove the surround around the gear stick.

It’s non ashtray.

Use both hang either side of gearstick Push fingers in where the leather is and pull it upwards gently it should pop out

If you're wanting to remove the hard surround, it just clips in - 4 clips one per corner - pull up from the front.

Normally if there is an ash tray you open it and put your fingers in so you can grab the leading edge and pull up. Once her leading edge is on the move you can grab and pull up the back. So fingers in to the lever surround and pull up the front. Make sure here is no grit etc along the sides as it will scratch the surround as there is very little clearance when you pull up the gear surround panel.
