A3 Glow Plug Warning Light VCDS Near Cheltenham/Bristol/Birmingham

Hi Everyone

A couple of weeks ago, i was driving my 60 plate - Automatic A3 8P down a dual carriageway and the glow plug light started flashing, i didn't experience any drop in power but it constantly flashed.

I stopped and let it cool down for about 3 hours as was out for the evening and then when I started it back up all was fine!

Didn't see the light again for a few days and then randomly when i was pulling onto a roundabout the light flashed again and this time the car went into limp mode, i duly stopped and waited about 10 minutes before turning it back on again and the light had gone out and it was back to normal.

The light has flashed on once since then and the loss of power wasn't felt. Its bizarre!

Does anyone local to Cheltenham/Bristol or Birmingham have VCDS that could have a look and see what it might have been?

Any advice or help would be appreciated!

Hi @Sandra - Cheltenham is the most local, but i can travel to Bristol or Birmingham - to be fair anywhere thats within like an hours drive! xx

I haven't had the light on for over a week now so not sure what the next step is?
