A3 Ingolstadt Germany Edition

Hi all,
new to this site.
I own a 1996 A3 1.8T Sport in Silver and it is badged 'INGOLSTADT GERMANY EDITION'.
Its a great car ans has full leather seats, air con, climate control, elec sunroof and wing mirrors.

Just wonered if anyone knew anything about this model?
I've not seen another badged the same.

Never heard of it before. Is it an import? where is the badge and what is the style (sticker?)?

What other extras does it have? im not sure on the options list for a 96 A3. It seems a good spec but nothing stands out.

Could also be an owner before who done it, or a special offer a dealer was doing..

its not an import as far as I am aware. Yes, the bade is a sticker (individual lettering).
Good point about the Dealer special offer, I may contact HR Owen to enquire further.
It's going up for sale so I can get a newer A3, maybe even an S3 !
Thought that this edition may be rare and worth miliions !! lol

So you going to be looking for a facelift 8L or an 8P? If you call an audi dealer with your reg they may be able to give you some history on it. Either way may as well use it as a selling point.

Also FYI if you post anything like this it may be better posting in to the A3 section as the general section doesnt get as many readers.
