A3 Sportback (eTron) Center Console and MMI controls ....

Hello,

I have a 2018 A3 Sportback etron and I'm looking to replace the Center console and MMI Control Unit and wondering how interchangeable the parts are from the 2015 through 2018 A3s. Looking to pull a console from a junker and 2018 models are hard to come by. Would an earlier years center console AND MMI control unit fit and work correctly? Will any A3 console and MMI control unit work, or do I need to look specifically at the eTron. The part numbers seem to be extremely close and everything looks the same. Happy to provide more information if needed. Appreciate the help.

As far as I’m aware the A3 e-tron doesn’t have a custom console the FaceLift MY17-> and Pre face Cars do have different consoles cup holder LED colour was red and the MMI controls had 4 buttons on the PFL cars. Also not all A3s had start stop buttons and you will also need the correct Hill hold button etc.

You will need a FL console but should be able to pull one from a normal A3 with the correct spec. I’m also not sure if there is any component protection of the controls ?
