A3 tdi 130 200k miles

HI all first post.
I just bought an a3 with 200k on the clock. It is a 1.9 tdi 130, I was wondering if there was anything I should be doing apart from the obvious servicing ect to keep the engine good.

Pd engines are pretty bullet proof as long as they are well maintained, more info will probably be had over on ukmiv's website, the asn sister site.

I can tell you this much is that get rid of the whole EGR system. It will start leaking sooner or later and make a mess.

You don't have to get rid of the egr , just disable it by pulling and pluging the vac line and plug the 2 atmospheric vent holes .
