A4 1.9 Tdi gearbox oil change

Hi folks

2nd gear is a little crunchy on my 5 speed A4 box. Its on 160k miles and looking through service history does not show any oil change. Is the crunchy change likely to improve with an oil change? If so which oil is suggested?

I did some reading up and found 75w90 is the correct grade, is this correct?

Grades are obsolete , it's manufacturer specs and yours should be VW 501.50 or G50 for short .
