A4 Avant 2003 Towing Electrics

Hi all

I am about to buy a tow bar for my 2003 A4 Avant and understand that there is a inbuilt socket somewhere at the back of the car which a dedicated wire kit can connect to. This allows the car to manage the rear lights etc and adjust the ESP.

Does anyone know where the socket is to save me hunting for hours!!

just had the drivers side pannel off mty 2002 Saloon, found the amp for the radio behind it but no plug, so if you are going to look for it maybe try the passengers side first as it is a pain to remove the trim.

Just fitted towbar electrics to my S4 saloon and had the trim off both sides and didn't see any socket - wired the electrics directly into the lights.
