A4 B6 Avant Buying Guide

Hi, I am going to look at an A4 Avant tommorrow, its a PD 130 AVF manual gearbox and was built in 2003..

I have had Golfs and Passats in the past but i have never driven an A4 before and just wanted to know if there are any common issues to look for..

I am familier with the water ingress problem thru the pollen filter housing but not sure about anything else..

Can anybody give me a heads up of possible common issues..

On the forum page look at the FAQ page, otherwise the usual suspension noises over bumps and make sure it pulls nice and hard from about 1.5 to 2k revs
