A4 cabriolet vibration/ scuttle shake?

Hi, I new to group, so hello all..

I have recently bought an Audi A4 cabriolet Quattro 3.0, 60k on the clock

The car is super smooth, on tick over and up to speeds of 75mph...just above and between 80-90mph the vibration is quite bad, there are some 'soft sport's in between...

Is this a known problem, is it scuttle shake, has anyone experienced a similar problem?

Gear changes are smooth, tick over smooth, its just the speeds I identified, general vibration throughout the car...

Please help

Hi...I'm taking it in for 4 new tyres and balancing....I just, this morning been taking another look, I noticed the RS alloys where not fitted correctly...larger offset at the front and smaller at the rear...

I just changed them around and hopefully with new tyres it will be good!???

No. Offset should be the same unless staggered set up.

Depending on wheel size and width and offset between 45 and 33 should be fine.

I have had new tyres fitted, balanced and wheel in the correct position, wider at the rear....this has made a huge difference...I can only presume that maybe there where flat spots on the tyres....its a low mileage car, very little use...

Enjoy it however you CANNOT beat a fully square set up on a quattro car.
