A4 no heat from driver vent or driver side windscreen vent.

Hi, on my 1.8T I have no heat coming from the driver vent and the driver side of the demist vent.
The heat from passenger side is warmer, but not hot.

Been advised by my garage that I have fault codes on practically all of the heating motors.

I have the interior out and can get to all the motors on the passenger side, so may just change those out. The driver one is much harder to get to, any advice?

Does my train of thought sound reasonable, or could there be other reasons for the loss of heat through the vents?

These motor's just seem to stick, just open them up & grease the gears, there's a few articles on here with photo's.

Any particular grease?
Also, the driver side temp flap motor is a ****** to get at from the driver footwell. Any specific techniques to access that one,mor is it just a small 90 degree socket and patience?

I think it has white grease in there, to be honest, I think just moving everything seems to get them working!
