A4B6 1.9tdi Avant Quattro sport, cooling fan issues and CTS

Recently bought a '52 plate a4 avant, nice and clean but the old owner told me about the CTS being a little loose (the car even came with the new part), would this be the cause of the fan turning on when the engine is cold? And if so where is the cts located? I've found a few videos of them being replaced but on the 1.8l and 2.0l petrols.. seeing as mine is a 1.9tdi I figured its going to be a little different?

Hi, the CTS is at the back of the engine on the 1.9 avf engine and is held in place by a large black plastic clip, if you can fit a genuine part as the cheapo one don't last five minutes and a more trouble than their worth, a bit fiddly to fit at the back of the engine and you will have to drain some water out first but half an hour's job
