A5 2.7 TDI Remap Options

Hi Guys,

I am asking this for a friend of mine who recently picked up the above car.

I have been looking at maps for the car and I am lost.

What is best? A Rolling Road Remap or a box?

For a straight forward remap, we are considering: http://www.gadtuning.co.uk/audi-a5-remapping/ - Not sure on price, awaiting email back from company.

The box seems to be too "over enthusiastic", will the HP really increase by 60?

Also, what is the best route, standard ECU map or a box?

As you have gathered you won't get 60bhp extra with the tuning box. Don't know anything about GA Tuning but 35bhp is very low on a 2.7TDI or a 3.0TDI for a remap.
As GA tuning is in Essex I presume you are in that part of the world have a look at AMD, http://www.amdtuning.com/contact.cfm
They are a forum sponsor and used by many people on here.
A remap is the best option for the car.

As I guessed the box is a load of marketing crap lol.

I have looked at AMD's site and they are roughly the same figures as gadtuning, which is between 35-40 HP increase and 80nm of torque increase.

Can anyone with a 59 plate 2.7TDI report back regarding their maps? I would like to hear about their increases that are possible with this engine, I want the best for my mate.

Sorry, its a 57 plate auto box, not sure if its DSG like my VW MK5 R32.
