A5 2012 Multitronic gearbox

My a5 convertible multitronic gearbox is not always in gear when stopped at a roundabout or junction when cold. Not always but sometimes jerks or revs like no gear engaged. Has anyone got any ideas on what this could be.

Multitronic does not have gears, it is a chain-driven CVT. When was yours last serviced?

September 2018 with gearbox oil changed in Bristol Audi

Hi,I have a similar problem with my 2014 A4 with the same gearbox.2.0.tdi 170 hp.I had the gearbox oil changed Feb 2018 and it’s still the same 12 months later.Car has now done 125,000 miles so I suspect it’s general wear and tear?.How many miles has your car covered.

Mine is on 60000. Is your happening when cold or all the time

Mostly cold but it’s very intermittent can go a few days with no problems at all.Spoiling a very nice car at the moment.

Just a thought why not put your question as a general enquirey instead of the A5 section seem to think someone else mentioned it’s very quiet in that section?
