A5/S5 10 plate rear LED brake lights on a pre 10 model?

Does anyone know if I can replace the standard brake lights on my 57 plate with the really nice LED brake lights found on the 10 plate model? Size looks the same but do they need to be coded etc?

Have a look at the Kufatec web site they produce a wiring harness complete with a "dongle" to download the coding etc. You may need to contact them as the website says the harness is not suitable for RHD vehicles but I know of two A4 owners who swapped to LED rear lights using a Kufatec harness.

I thought that Audi Dealers were doing a retrofit pack but some early (2007) A5/S5s are incompatible.

As mentioned though some earlier models won't work with the kit so we'd need to know your chassis number.
