A6 2.0 tdi TDV?

Just wondering if anyone could help me, am looking at buying a A6 2.0 tdi TDV, just wondering what the TDV stands for and whether or not it would have a DPF? It's a 55 plate c6. Looking to use it as a private hire & wonder if anyone has any good advice as to whether it would be good for that use or not?

From a quick google it appear to denote a DPF is fitted to the car. They are good engines but I would get the oil balance shaft checked/replaced.

Technical development vehicle........apparently.

as said it means it had a DPF before their time.
