a6 c6 3.0tdi quattro tiptronic safe mode issue

Good evening . I had a problem a few months ago with my car flaring between shifts. Finally lost all drive so assumed gearbox died. Had to spend months sourcing a identical box as it was an oddball code.

Got one and had it fitted as well as the torque converter. Car starts, but won't engage any drive as it's showing " safe" on dashboard and capital letters on showing drive ie PRND1

Could this be down to low battery voltage due to car being stood for a few months

Safe usually denotes immo, does the car stay started or cut out?

When I had Safe on the dash of my C6 it was component protection. Need a full scan of the car to see if the gearbox ECU has CP.
