Would the heated washer jets from a current A6 fit our b8?

The part numbers are very similar...

Just posting back to say yes they do fit, have identical connections for the washer hose elbow and heater plug and cost less than £20 from Cardiff Audi.

Are they for a b8.5, if so can you post part numbers or a link?

They will fit both the B8 and B8.5 as I believe they both have the same crap pistol jets from the factory...

Part numbers are:

Right: 4G0955988A

They don't spray very far up the screen, though. Even when adjusted as far as they go.

I ended up taking mine off and going back to standard.

Mine cover my entire windscreen top to bottom and left to right?

Nice shout. I had to do this on my Leon with golf washers.

Weird. Mine were off a Passat. Maybe the angle is better on the A6 ones.

It could be a subtle difference.

The latest A4 has the full fat fan type washers where as these seem to be like a hybrid, half fan and half pistols... But my God they are such a cheap improvement!

Just found the old thread that had the part numbers at the time:
Heated Fan Jets - 5M0955986C
Non/Heated Fan Jets - 5M0955985C9B9
Also fitted to the Seat Alhambra 2011 - 2014, Skoda Superb 2008 - 2014, Skoda Yeti, VW Eos, and most later VW models. Beetle, Caddy, Golf, Golf Plus, Jetta, Passat, Scirocco, Sharan.
So I guess things have moved on, new design suits the B8 better.

Are these plug and play (as in, are the washer jets heated as standard on the A4?)

If so, what triggers the heating - rear defrost or mirror defrost? (or something else!?)

The heated jets are a different part number and lots more money.

Um, no they're not, the numbers quoted are for the heated jets

Bargain then! The Passat ones were a small fortune.

I bet VAG parts warehouse will wonder what hits them when we all start ordering these!

I used Chinese version of the Passat ones on my B7, as mentioned above, they sprayed a bit low in an ideal world, and they were more £'s than the A6 heated ones. Be ringing TPS on Monday :))

Thanks for the tip, always hated the B8 style jets.

Just ordered a set in ebay for £22. He's got a few pairs left!

I ordered the numbers quoted earlier in this thread & checked on eBay & it said there the heated ones. I'll let you all know when I pick them up. £22 from eBay seems about right as the stealers will always be more & you'll be paying for the free p&p as well.

@Macdoon these are what I ordered.

OK so I've just received mine and it looks like the angle of the spray is adjustable with a small torx screwdriver - so no worries about the spray angle being wrong :).

Will fit at lunchtime and report back.
