A6 no ignition lights

A6 2007 2.7.,,,put ignition key in today and the dashboard was completely blank.

Turned key and nothing happened.

I have heard it could be an ignition switch relay switch.

Any ideas please

When you insert the key, do you get a nice clunk and the steering wheel lock disengages?
