Hi all,

I’ve just had my 2013 A7 TDI in for a Halfords Major Service and they picked up a few things. The main concern is that both lower suspension wishbone arms (front axle) need replacing as the suspension arm bush has detached from its bonding.
Halfords have quoted £450 for replacement and labour.
Is this a fair price I’m comparison to what the average garage would charge?
thanks guys.

Sounds good to me it’s an A7 in the first instance
Will always have you by the balls when it comes to parts
With this in mind £450 for parts and labour sounds reasonable

No worries nice 7 you have
Good luck by the way
For a comparison you could try / ask Audi for a quote could be quite interesting

thanks man I appreciate that. She deserves to be looked after .
Haha yeah, I’d imagine Audi would charge much more but it could be worth a check.

That was my thought exactly
If it’s twice as much it may make the Halfords quote seem a little bit better to swallow

Not sure I'd want halfords working on my car tbh, good store, but actual labour, not someone I'd put forward.

I’d always use Audi if poss but for some the repairs are way too expensive and they don’t particularly have technicians that are any better than a Halfords tech
I know 1 personally and he worked for Audi then halfrauds now elsewhere
Very good technician
It’s who you get on the day I guess
Could be a YTS lad
Sorry I’m old with the YTS bit
no idea what they call trainees these days
Probably just trainees
