A7 Sound Generator - retro fit?

Hi - A friend has a 64 plate A6 3.0 V6 Bi-turbo with the factory fit Sound Generator. I like the idea of this but having contacted Audi direct, they are unable to retro-fit this to my car (A7 3.0 V6 272 BHP black Edition). Does anyone know whether this can be done?

Speak to Ash at Audi retrofits, he should be able to tell you if it could be done, with a little google you can find aftermarket solutions but not sure how they sound

Yes it can be retrofitted, well at least in Ireland its offered by the dealers. Cheapest place i have found the hardware is from Audi Leipzig North in Germany, 1370 euros + shipping. Its on my list of things to buy for my 2012 a7

I think looking at the cost and how long I intend on keeping the car, it's just not worth it I don't think. If I was planning on keeping the car for a few years then yes I'd have it fitted. However I will be spec'ing it into my next one.
