Hi all, just wondering if any members have any experience with an A7 as a towing vehicle?
Now, I haven't designed it this way but the OH has decided we need a caravan to holiday in during these covid times, which I'm OK with but wanted to know if anyone had caravan towing experience with an A7, good or bad!
My 272ps 3.0tdi A7 has more than enough 'grunt' and all the gross towing weights for car/caravan are within legal requirements so no issues there.
I certainly do not want to get rid of the car but if its useless for towing a caravan, I may be forced to .
Also, towbar fitting, I'd like a retractable one and are they readily available to be fitted by a specialist with vehicle specific electrics and if so, how much am I looking at cost wise?
Any recommendations for fitters within a 50mile radius of Herefordshire would also be appreciated.
I know we don't own A7's to pull caravans and like I say, I haven't designed it this way so please be gentle on me .
