A8 Wheel loosening detection

So the A8 is advertising wheel loosening detection.
What is it ? And how does it work ?

Could be wrong but from what I can gather it's like BMW's FlexRay which relays road condition information from the front wheels to the rear wheels in enough time for the rear suspension to loosen or tighten for the next bump.

Not sure mate. I’m thinking along the lines of the ESP senses abnormal vibration by a control module and then alerts the driver by means of a dash warning light.

Not being funny but how often do you check your wheels? I check all the bolts are tight and the tyres are at the right pressure etleast once a month regardless of an alert.
