ABS and Traction control light just came on

As per title guys, this came on during my drive to work. I pulled over and switched off the car and had a good look under the bonet at the levels and stuff. I did notice the brake fluid was not on max but nothig else jumped out at me, pleanty of meat on the pads and the rubber is still legal. Anywai i got back in the car and started to drive off, not the lights are off. After a few miles and a tap of the anchors and hey presto the lights are back on.

Any ideas?

Get a VCDS/VAG-COM scan - should tell you straight away.

Well i picked up the spare part and just my luck on the way home the lights went out. Im just waiting for them to come back on again.
