abs pump issue Help!!!

I got in my car this morning (2000 audi a3 tdi 110) and started her up but there is a odd grinding noise coming from the abs pump. You can feel it vibrating through the brake pedal and on driving slowly you can feel it applying the abs. However when you get going its fine.

I've taken it to the garage and a bloke looked at it and said he hasnt ever heard anything like it before. He said it would be ok to drive as its not affecting braking. There are also no lights on the dash

Anyone have a clue what is going on?

Will it be a new abs pump?

woul get it checked with vcds, when you said you felt it was the abs light on the dash flashing?

No the abs light doesnt come on. It comes on when you turn the key in the ignition to start the car and then switches off as normal after a few seconds.

Sounds to me like your ABS pump bearings have worn out. I have a complete unit for sale, PM sent.
