Hi all, im new to the forum. I currently own an Audi SQ5. Awesome car, love it. But, im interested in the abt upgrades available. Has anyone had the abt treatment on their car?

Ok thanks. Already contacted Richter sport. Are they a reputable company? Seems expensive though. I was thinking of trading my sq5 for a newer model so I could get the abt widebody upgrade. The car they are selling seems very expensive. Surely it's cheaper to buy a 2017, and then pay for the upgrade treatment.

...........hi. I fitted a set of ABT sports springs to my 2018 SQ5 & it was the worst thing i could have done to it. The ride was rock hard even tho on the ABT website it was supposed to maintain comfort etc. That was the reason i went for ABT as they have worked with the Audi/VW brand for years & in europe they can be factory fitted at main dealers. The handling was great for a big suv but then again it handled well on the standard sport suspension. There expensive & again for me i wish i had never bothered,it was so bad i even thought about going back to the standard factory stuff.
I don't have the SQ5 now,my local sports car specialist had my dream car in on a 16 plate but lower miles than my SQ5 & offered me a great deal on both so it went in px.

Ok thanks for the reply. I like the look of the 2017 upwards abt widebody kit. I was considering replacing my 2014 sq5 for the facelift version, so I could get the abt full treatment done. But I've since found out its very expensive, so it's probably unrealistic now.

''yes'' the body kits & anything from ABT are expensive plus it needs painting. For me i was very disappointed with the springs, they weren't cheap plus fitting & then a 4 wheel alignment at another £100.00 made it expensive & a huge disappointment after. I ran the car for 5-6 weeks before i traded it in & really did regret changing them.

Slightly off topic. I'm not a big fan of the wheels on my sq5, so am thinking of painting them & possibly the grill also. I was looking at dark grey or maybe black. What do you think?

What alloys do you have. I got mine refurbished in gunmetal and diamond cut as I thought they looked a bit plain just in silver.

Wow. They look great. Do you have a picture of what they looked like before?

Your old wheels look similar to mine. Slightly different. Do you mind me asking how much it cost to have them done?
Do you think I could do anything different with my wheels? Would prefer them darker maybe. Also, did your car come with the side steps? Always liked them.

They were £500 to get them refurbed, they are 21" and diamond cut which is why they cost that much. Best thing to do is maybe look as other members cars on here, and google search to see what others may have done. Yes, it came with the side steps.

Think I'll probably just get them painted. Maybe dark grey, and get the grill painted the same colour. Then I'll add some side steps as well.
