Advice needed to clean Air intake system

I'm looking to do a cleanup in the next few weeks, changing the oil, filters etc and i've been looking around for something good to clean the Air intake system. I've looked around and noticed a lot of people are using Seafoam. Has anyone ever used this or had experience with this product?

Also where in the intake line would you recommend i put it, i've seen various methods of entry.

I'm looking for a good guide to cleaning the Air intake system on my 2.0 TDI
