Aero Wipers again

Is it normal for both Aero wipers to 'go' suddenly and at the same time?

I used my wipers last a couple of days ago and they were fine. I put them on last night as i was about to head out and both were making that horrible rubbery noise and jumping all over the screen. Driving through the rain was actually quite scary. luckily for me I always treat my windows with some stuff in a yellow bottle that makes rain bead and not wet the glass. (if that makes sense).

I wonder if that is down to road grime on the screen, and the rubbers drying out? If you are anything like us you won't have seen rain like this for a couple of months?

Try cleaning the screen and the blades with AutoGlym Glass Polish or similar.

I tried that at a petrol station less than half a mile from home. The car was clean, so I used paper towels and my regular rain off or whatever its called, still no luck.
It was just like fine one minute, then Bang! bad the next. No warning of impending failure like with the old style.
Oh well just bought some new ones from GSF for about £28
